Rivers Edge Cottage
River’s Edge Cottage is a single-storey barn conversion set in a leafy glade in an idyllic peaceful setting on the banks of the river Derwent in Shotley Bridge, a charming old spa town, once home of the German Sword Makers and paper making capital of the North.
The cottage is located in the beautiful rural surroundings of the Derwent valley, on the site of the old paper mill, and is ideally situated for fishing, walking and cycling holidays.
Rivers Edge Cottage with its many unique features and character, offers spacious accommodation for up to four people. The cottage is not far from local amenities including a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
As the name suggests, the cottage is situated right next to the river Derwent and fishing permits are available. There is an excellent network of traffic free routes for cyclists, walkers and horse riders plus a variety of other outdoor and indoor activities for adults and children.
