Day-night fishing + camping permit (Road Lake)

Sleeps 1
1 Bedroom

Idyllically located in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, and scattered with dot islands, weed and reed beds, lilies and other features, the Rum Bridge Road Lake is extensively stocked with tench, crucians, roach, rudd, perch, pike and in excess of 75 mirror and common carp ranging from upper singles to a current lake record of 32lb.

Compostable ‘eco’ toilets are located close by. There are also hot showers, flush toilets and a field kitchen available to all our guests. The extensively stocked onsite tackle and bait shop offers a comprehensive selection of terminal tackle, bait, and other essentials, seven days a week. Carol's Kitchen, the onsite food truck offers hot and cold snacks throughout the day. And our hot food delivery service mean you won’t even need to leave your swim – making long stay carping an altogether more civilized affair.

Though small and very well stocked, the Road lake is very weedy and can be extremely tricky to fish – trickier, indeed, than many lower stocked gravel pits several times the size. So, please DO NOT BOOK unless you are: an experienced carp angler, used to targeting larger fish in challenging conditions; or you’re content to enjoy your time on the bank, with great facilities and the possibility (if not prospect) of a new PB.

Although bivvy-fishing on the Road Lake is limited to just two anglers per day, day-night fishing is also permitted from ‘George's Tipi’ (twin bed) pod, and the 'Willows' sleeps-3 glamping pod.
