This comfortable, intimate space provides the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern city life: an oasis of calm and all-too-rare opportunity to reconnect with nature in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.

Located on a popular yet peaceful glamping site and fishery, Hazels, our dog-friendly double glamping pod, is conveniently located next to the showers/WCs and a communal ‘field kitchen (food preparation and washing up area)’, just a few yards from Carol’s Kitchen (the onsite food concession) and shop.

Equipped with a Kingsize bed, barbecue area and outdoor seating, heater and metered electrical supply, Hazels overlooks the Rum Bridge marsh (a Suffolk County Wildlife Area), and is adjacent to Gypsy Rose (our dog friendly gypsy carriage) making it suitable for larger family groups holidaying together.

For your convenience, hot and cold snacks and meals are available throughout the day. And evening meals can be delivered to your accommodation, seven days a week.

Rum Bridge Fisheries is situated on the outskirts of the historic market town of Clare, Suffolk, within easy driving distance of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, and the Suffolk coast.

The town itself is home to a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, as well as a 13th century Augustinian Priory, Clare Country Park, the stone keep ruins of Clare Castle, a medieval church and museum to explore.

For security reasons, the main gates are locked at dusk; however, you will be provided with the gate lock combination, enabling you to come and go as you please.

To make Rum Bridge as affordable as possible, we allow guests to book our accommodation only, and to supply their own bedding, towels, etc. Or to take advantage of an optional bedding package – including sheets, pillows, a duvet and cover.

Other options and extras, designed to make your break as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, include…

**Cook tents**

Purpose-designed cook tents, which can be pitched next to your accommodation, and feature twin-burner gas stoves with grill, kettle, cookware and crockery.

**BBQ / firepit package**

Guests who prefer to dine al fresco may wish to rent a fire pit with grill or BBQ, supplied either with logs and kindling or charcoal, tongs, skewers, matches and firelighters.

**BBQ food packs**

Why waste a moment of your stay stalking the supermarket aisles, when you can have a mouth-watering barbecue pack – including (subject to availability) locally reared pork sausages, ribs, burgers, chicken, kebabs, rolls and salad – ready and waiting in your cool box? (A vegetarian option is also available on request.)

**Double tent hire with beds**

Expecting company? Our sleeps-two bivvies with ultra-comfortable ‘wideboy’ beds are available to hire in advance of your stay. And fishing is also available at a discounted rate, allowing you to target the popular Moat and Road lakes for carp, tench, crucians, bream, pike and perch.
