This comfortable, intimate space provides the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern city life: an oasis of calm and all-too-rare opportunity to reconnect with nature in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.

Located on a popular yet peaceful glamping site and fishery, 'Hazels', our dog-friendly glamping pod, is conveniently located next to the showers/WCs and a communal ‘field kitchen (food preparation and washing up area)’, just a few yards from Carol’s Kitchen (the onsite food concession - serving breakfasts, meals and snacks throughout the day) and the on-site fishing tackle shop.

Equipped with a double bed, bedside cabinet, dresser, heater, metered electrical supply, and outdoor seating area - Hazels looks out over the stock ponds and the Rum Bridge marsh (a Suffolk County Wildlife Area), and is adjacent to Gypsy Rose (our dog friendly gypsy carriage) making it suitable for larger family groups holidaying together.

Rum Bridge is situated on the outskirts of the historic market town of Clare, Suffolk, within easy driving distance of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, and the Suffolk coast.

The town itself is home to a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, as well as a 13th century Augustinian Priory, Clare Country Park, the stone keep ruins of Clare Castle, a medieval church and museum to explore.

For security reasons, the main gates are locked at dusk; however, you will be provided with the gate lock combination, enabling you to come and go as you please.

To make Rum Bridge 'budget friendly', guests can build their holiday package according to their budget. As standard your bed will be dressed with a mattress cover and a bottom sheet, you can then choose to bring your own bedding, or add on the bedding package, which includes: pillows, duvet covers and a blanket (if required).

Hazels pod can accommodate up to two small dogs, or one medium sized dog.

To keep our costs low we allow guests to bring their own bedding.

If you prefer to travel light, and have everything ready for your arrival you can purchase the bedding package.

**Firepit package**

Guests who prefer to dine al fresco may wish to rent a fire pit with grill, supplied with a selection of logs and kindling, charcoal, tongs, skewers, matches and firelighters - and even a complimentary bag of marshmallows!.

Guest wanting to bring their own firepit or BBQ just need to obtain a 'fire permit' (£10) on arrival.

**Fishing permits**

Guests staying in Hazels are welcome to purchase day tickets to fish on the Moat Lake.

Please be aware this popular mixed coarse fish pleasure lake, operates with restricted numbers - so tickets are only available to purchase on arrival, and spaces are not guaranteed.
