Located on a popular yet peaceful leisure angling and glamping site in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, this cosy fully insulated family glamping pod is simply furnished with a kingsize bed, a single bed, a table and chairs, exclusive barbecue area and outdoor seating, and equipped a metered electric supply, providing LED lighting, USB charging sockets, and a low wattage panel heater.

Nestling on the banks of the Rum Bridge Road Lake - a beautiful, reed-fringed lake - it is the right choice for anglers, birders, walkers … in fact, anyone who values peace, quiet and a tranquil rural setting.

All guests have access to the lakes, flush toilets, showers, and then 'field kitchen'.

Willows pod is set back-to-back with our sleeps-3 Moat pod, making it suitable for larger family groups wishing to rent two lodges.

The Road Lake is home to an impressive head of king carp (commons and mirrors, to 32lbs+), with fishing available to holidaymakers at a discounted rate.

The nearby Carol’s Kitchen (onsite food concession) offers hot and cold snacks and meals throughout the day. And a main meal delivery service is available in the evenings.

Rum Bridge is situated in the historic market town of Clare, Suffolk, within easy driving distance of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, and the Suffolk coast. The town itself is home to a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, as well as a 13th century Augustinian Priory, Clare Country Park, the stone keep ruins of Clare Castle, a medieval church and museum.

For your security, the gates are locked at dusk, guests are provided with the gate lock combination, enabling you to come and go as you please.

To make Rum Bridge as affordable as possible, we allow guests to book our accommodation only, and to bring their own bedding.

The beds will come dressed with a mattress cover, and bottom sheet.

**Cook tent**

Our purpose-designed cook tents can be pitched next to your accommodation, and feature a twin-burner gas stove with grill, a kettle, cookware, crockery and cutlery.

**Firepit package**

Guests who prefer to dine al fresco may wish to rent a fire pit with grill, which can be supplied with either logs and kindling or charcoal, tongs, skewers, matches, firelighters and even a bag of marshmallows*.

**Angling permits**

Fishing is available for 1 guest on the Road Lake, or for up to 3 guests on the Moat Lake - allowing you to target the lake’s impressive stock of carp, tench, crucians, bream, pike and perch.
