Nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the Summerdown estate in Hampshire, lies a small cluster of cosy shepherd’s huts for two, ready for you to relax and unwind, surrounded by nature. It is a unique and peaceful place to escape the busyness of life.

A beautiful, locally crafted shepherd's hut with a full-size double bed, organic cotton bedding, ensuite full-size hot water shower and toilet. Mini kitchen area with fridge freezer, 2 ring induction hob, kettle and toaster. Outside you’ll be surrounded by the estate’s wildlife, outdoor furniture that’s been lovingly created from wood from the estate, locally sourced charcoal for the Weber bbq, re-purposed washing machine drum firepit, and the highlight is the wood-fired hot tub.

With exclusive use of Brambling hut, hot tub and garden area, you'll experience both privacy and beautiful views. We welcome you to roam through the wildflower meadow the hut nestles within, then follow public footpaths as they guide you through the surrounding estate and farmed fields.

Other things to note

There are electric vehicle charging points available if you need to use them during your stay.

We’ve curated the space treading lightly on the land, therefore we can’t welcome dogs to protect the wildlife that call the meadow their home.

The wildflower meadow behind the huts is sown exclusively to feed the wild birds that migrate to the estate for the winter months. In return they treat us with their stunning

murmurations and beautiful birdsong!

Brambling shepherd's hut is well equipped for such a tiny space. Here's a list of everything included for your stay:

Bed area

Organic cotton bathrobes, Organic cotton bed linen, duvet, throw & cushions. A selection of books, board games, hairdryer & travel iron, ironing mat are all tucked under the bed. Coat hangers on a hook.

Kitchenette

Two ring induction hob, kettle & toaster. Plates, mugs, glasses, wine glasses. Cutlery and cooking utensils. Little fridge (with a pint of milk), tiny freezer. Saucepan, frying pan & colander. Washing up liquid, hand soap, tea towel dish cloths

Brew Tea Bags, Moon Roast Coffee, Fairtrade sugar, Summerdown Peppermint tea and Camomile tea. Chocolate digestive biscuits and marshmallows. Salt flakes, coarse ground pepper, locally produced oil.

Bathroom

Organic cotton bath & hand towels. Summerdown shower gel, hand soap & body lotion. Essentials box of extra items if needed.

Fireside

Locally sourced firewood, eco firelighters, matches. Local kindling and responsibly sourced charcoal.

Outside

Handmade outdoor seating, Weber charcoal BBQ. Parasol umbrella, Repurposed firepit, welly rack

On arrival the Welcome Barn provides wellies, umbrellas and lantern torches for use during your stay and also wheelbarrows to transport your luggage from car to hut.

There is also an Honesty Store on site should you wish to purchase Summerdown goodies to take home or additional fire lighting supplies.
