Wild Harvest has three TimberTipis each sleeping four. Guests get exclusive use of the site as we are only small, if you book all three tipis or just one, so the price listed is a per site price rather than a per tipi price. The Tipis are wooden with hessian-lined walls and coir carpet to make them cosy inside, each has a wood burning stove, and fold out cream foam sofa beds for four people, some of these are double some are single. All can be pushed together. The Tipis are decorated in Boho style. There is no electric to the tipis so they are lit just by the candles included and each Tipi has views across the flat open fields that characterise the rural outskirts of York. We even have a resident barn own that likes to do flying displays for our guest from a nearby tree. There is an outdoor covered kitchenette with a two ring gas bottle hob, and guests can also cook on the drop down grill over the fire pit, a large cauldron over the fire-pit and two wood-fired pizza ovens. All kitchen necessities are included (washing up stuff, pots pans cutlery etc) There is a shower, with a grey water soak away and eco shower gel supplied. For chilly evenings there is the 'Cosy Hut' where guests can hang out, read, eat, in it there is a table/games/mags/woodburner and this, like the tipis is insulated with recycled glass bottle insulation. Guests have used of a fridge freezer situated 50 seconds walk, an outside loo and hot water sink and also can use the courtyard fire circle with its pallet bar and food table.

On-site we have hens, ducks, ducklings, two sheep and two labradors. A wood-fired hot tub is available to book.. We are famous for our add-on activities and really like it if guest can book at least one of these as it gives us the chance to get to know you but no worries if you just want to chill during a midweek stay. During weekend stays WE DO REQUIRE THAT GUESTS BOOK 2 ACTIVITIES as we are fundamentally a sustainable education business and we keep group accommodation low to allow guests to book these extra activities. These activities are priced at £8 - £15 a head and include wild food foraging, natural crafts such as beeswax candle rolling, leather notebook making, soap making, bath bombs, willow weaving, we also teach instinctive archery, basket making rag rugging etc.
