Inside the bothy there is an electric radiator, heated towel rail and Hobbit wood burning stove with a supply of wood for you to light. We also provide blankets, robes and a hot water bottle so you will be cosy and warm on rainy days and cold evenings.

This is our only accommodation which has a TV.

Outside there is a wood fired Hikki bath tub & outdoor cooking/bbq/fire pit with seating area tucked away for your exclusive use as well as a decked area with table and chairs - the perfect way to relax with a drink of your choice and enjoy the views whatever the weather. You can be assured you will have all the privacy you need.

All your essentials such as towels, robes, slippers, hairdryer, shaving point, USB ports, crockery, glasses and utensils are provided - there is a full list in our Guest Digital Welcome Book which you will receive with your booking confirmation email.

Also provided are WIFI, board games, binoculars, books, walking map, smart speaker, torch, outdoor storage for muddy boots.

Haystacks will consider allowing one small-medium sized dog to join you, providing he/she has good manners and knows how to behave in the countryside where there are many temptations such as livestock, pheasants, squirrels and rabbits.

Please ensure you contact us to obtain approval prior to adding a dog to your booking and note we can not accept larger breeds or puppies (up to 12 months).

If permission is given for you to bring your dog we require confirmation he/she has up to date vaccinations, this is to keep yours and other guests dogs safe.

We will provide the use of a towel, throw, bowls, treats, LED collar, identity disc (with our contact details), poop bags, shampoo and muddy paw wash - in return we ask that you please respect our lovely hut and do not allow your dog on the seated area or bed.

Our price includes a Welcome Hamper filled with Yorkshire goodies, locally sourced breakfast ingredients for your first morning as well as a starter pack of logs for the wood burner and wood fired outdoor bath tub.

We have space for parking a short walk away from the hut and provide wheelbarrows for you to transfer luggage from your vehicle to the hut.

Please note that there is limited storage space in the bothy.

We want your stay with us to be memorable for all the right reasons and have carefully thought about the personal touches that we provide for our guests, we hope you will enjoy them.

You are welcome to bring your mountain bike(s) to explore the local area. Or, if fishing is your thing we have fishing rights to an approx 1 mile stretch of the River Nidd running along our land which you are welcome to use free of charge (you will need to bring all your own tackle etc).

We provide details of local amenities in our Guest Digital Welcome Book, a link will be sent in your Booking Confirmation email.

The Morrell Bothy, our forth hut, is named after Samuel & Martha Moorhouse (Morrell is Martha's maiden name) who commissioned the build of Nidd House Farm in 1795 - the railway line and woodlands are part of Nidd House Farms grounds, you can see the property as you arrive at Haystacks Country Retreats.
