Idyllically located on the banks of Rum Bridge Fisheries' Moat pleasure fishing lake, this large insulated glamping pod is simply furnished with a king size bed, single bed and table and chairs. It also benefits from an exclusive outdoor seating and fire pit area, and is equipped with a metered electrical supply - providing lighting, heating and device charging.

The Moat Pod provides the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern city life: an oasis of calm and all-too-rare opportunity to reconnect with nature in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. And it is set back to back with our 'Willows' pod, making it suitable for larger family groups holidaying together.

Guests have easy access to hot showers, flush toilets, and a communal washing-up area with hot and cold water. The nearby Carol’s Kitchen (onsite food concession) offers hot and cold snacks and meals throughout the day. And a take-away delivery service is available in the evenings.

Rum Bridge is situated on the outskirts of the historic market town of Clare, Suffolk, within easy driving distance of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, and the Suffolk coast. The town itself is home to a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, as well as a 13th century Augustinian Priory, Clare Country Park, the stone keep ruins of Clare Castle, a medieval church and museum.

This popular but peaceful angling and glamping complex is close to the Suffolk-Essex border, within a County Wildlife site and working fishery, and is ideal for a couple or small family seeking a relaxing back to basics staycation.

Guests on a budget can choose to book our accommodation only, and to bring their own bedding, towels, etc. For the full glamping experience, we also offer an optional bedding package – including sheets, pillows, a duvet and cover – which, together with the following options and extras, are available to order at Checkout.

**Cook tent**

Purpose-designed cook tents, which can be pitched next to your accommodation, and feature twin-burner gas stoves with grill, kettle, cookware and crockery.

**Firepit package**

Guests who prefer to dine al fresco may wish to rent a fire pit with grill, supplied either with charcoal, matches, firelighters, tongs and skewers, or logs and kindling.

Note:guests are welcome to bring their own fire pits and barbecues, but will be asked to purchase a fire permit at a cost of £10 on arrival.

**Fishing permits**

Anglers can purchase permits to fish from their own doorstep, on either a days-only or day-night basis.
