Small and secluded adult only, super dog friendly couples retreat, one of just 3 beautiful glamping cabins, nestled in the undulating hills of Rutland, Rutland Rural Retreats is set off the beaten track, within 4 acres of beautiful old meadow land, bordered by an array of hedgerows, trees and brooks.

These Rural Retreats have been designed with comfort in mind; for couples and paws to escape from everyday life, enjoy the tranquillity, beauty and nature that surrounds us and relax. Both pods have their own secure garden areas for piece of mind when bringing canine companions. If you are looking for that special dog friendly getaway, far from the madding crowd, this is the place for you.

Standard policy is 2 dogs max due to the booking system but we are always happy to discuss. Please email or pm prior to booking if you have more than 2 sets of paws :-) Woodpecker is the firm favourite for more nervous or reactive paws as it is the furthest of the 3 cabins and resides at the far end of the meadow.

Situated approx. 4miles from the historic market town of Uppingham and just a short drive from the famous Rutland Water nature reserve, Rutland Rural Retreats is set on the edge of the beautiful village of Belton In Rutland. Access is gained through the main wooden gates where you will follow the signs to the private car park. From there luggage trolleys are provided for you to transport your belongings the short distance from the car park, along the winding limestone track and over the wooden footbridge into the meadow beyond.

Stylish and well equipped, Woodpecker is furnished with double bed, luxury leather sofa, kitchenette with combination oven/microwave, two ring hob and fridge with small freezer compartment; moveable rustic dining table and drawers, en-suite with shower, sink, flushing toilet and heated towel rail and underfloor heating! The outside area is equally well thought out with a large wrap around enclosed garden (fence height is approx 1.2m - 1.5m; chose Bumblebee if you require a higher fencing option as it is 1.5m all round) picnic table and seating, sun loungers and meadow views. A fire pit with BBQ arm is available for use with our fire pit bundles - see extras section which can be added at time of booking.

All that you need to rest, relax and re-energise!

Perfectly situated to enjoy the early evening sun and a firm favourite for paws that are more nervous or reactive to people & other paws as this is the furthest cabin of the three. Please note it is adjacent to a neighbouring farmer field & you may see /hear farm vehicles from time to time through the trees 💗🐾🐾
