Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within a recognised Dark Sky Reserve, the Riverside Meadow is a peaceful, sunny and completely private space set within 14 acres on the edge of Bodmin Moor. With the River Bedalder running alongside, it’s a truly wild and tranquil setting for your exclusive use.

The Riverside Meadow sleeps up to 8 guests (maximum 4 adults) and is ideal for two adult couples, a group of four friends, or one to two families. We welcome up to two small or medium dogs on request. Arrival day is Friday only.

The field kitchen is fully equipped with a two‑ring gas burner, BBQ, cool box, kettle, teapot, cafetiere, cooking utensils, and all the cups, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery you’ll need. A canvas‑covered dining table seats eight comfortably for relaxed alfresco meals.

Your private facilities include a composting toilet, urinal, and an off‑grid, spring‑fed hot shower.

For sleeping, there are two Landpods, each containing two double beds. Every bed has a mattress protector and fitted sheet — simply bring your own bedding, towels, food and drink. Bedding packs (duvets, pillows, covers and towels) are available to hire if you prefer to travel light.

From the riverbank, you’ll find easy access to a natural plunge pool, perfect for cooling off during warm summer days.

You’ll also have shared access to the Potting Shed (our pottery studio), where you’ll find a freezer, phone‑charging points and a small lending library. Extra kindling is available for £7 via the honesty box, and handmade pottery is also available to buy.

Centrally located between Cornwall’s north and south coasts, and just 10 minutes from both the A30 and A38, this is the perfect base for exploring beaches, moorland, villages and everything Cornwall has to offer — or simply to unplug, reconnect, relax and re‑wild yourselves.
