Accommodation
We have added the lovely Mongolian Yurt for the 2021 season. It was built and hand painted in Mongolia and then imported into the UK. Positioned on a slope looking out over the site and the hills and valley beyond it is a lovely spot to chill out for a few days. It has one single full size double bed and two full size single day beds. Extra camp beds can be arranged. It has a log burning stove which keeps the Yurt lovely and warm. Outside there is a raised decking area with tables and chairs plus a fire pit and seating area behind the Yurt in a nice private spot by the trees. It has electric with two mains sockets and lights. Cooking is via the Campers cook house or on the open fire outside.

The Bothy was originally one of the old cow sheds and we have almost entirely rebuilt it. It was a labour of love over the long dark winter months a few years back. It will sleep 5 comfortably and has everything you need for a lovely relaxing stay. All you need to bring are sleeping bags or duvets as sheets and pillow cases are provided.
The heart of The Bothy is a large log burning range cooker with oven and hot plates for you to cook on and it keeps The Bothy really cosy even in the depths of winter. It also has a large rustic dining table and chairs, old oak dressers and comfy armchairs.
Once you or your group have booked The Bothy you will have sole use of it for the duration of your stay.
There is one double bed with a single bunk above it on one side of the room and two single bunks on the other side.
There is a kettle and toaster and all the cups, plates, pans, cutlery etc. you should need for your stay but if you're not sure about what to bring just ask. Dogs are allowed in the Bothy too. The Bothy is £60.00 per night to hire on standard summer rates and £40 per night on special winter rates.

The Ranch House was an old cow barn that we painstakingly designed and rebuilt over a twelve month period
The Ranch House was an old cow barn that we painstakingly designed and rebuilt over a twelve month period. As with all of our accommodation; we have tried to make it a bit different. The outside is the original 18inch thick solid stone walls built in 1642. The inside is made almost entirely of wood. At its heart is a huge hand built six poster bed, made from local sycamore, sustainable gathered from a forest that you can see from the Farm. There are two further raised single beds built into the wall behind the main bed. These are like the old fashioned ships bunks, almost like little dens. Kids (and adults) love them! Underneath these is a space where you could set up a couple of camp beds or just use it as useful storage. There are two log burners in the Ranch House. One is a large log-burning Range cooker with a full size oven and three hot plates. This is a joy to cook with. Its what we use in the house.

This sleeps 2/4 in one King size bed and two fold away camp beds and is lovely and cozy with a large log-burning stove, wooden floors, rugs, comfy old chairs and lots of bits and bobs.
The Ranch House began life as a telegraph pole! I have always been fascinated by the Celtic round houses and that's where the inspiration came from. We started off with a telegraph pole that had been left on our land by some contractors so we sunk this into the ground and began building from there! It is largely a wooden structure with a Scottish stone wall section where the log burner sits. Like our other accommodation, all you need to bring for sleeping is a sleeping bag or quilt and towels as beds, mattresses, pillows and sheets are all provided for you.
The Round House is totally eco-friendly and is completely off-grid. This means there is no electricity in the building so you will need to bring candles or tea lights or other forms of lighting with you, like you would if you were camping. It has a big log burner though to keep you warm though so don't panic! Being candle lit makes it incredibly cozy and romantic! There is a large open fire with pan stand outside and a seating area so most people cook on the open fire or you could bring a camping stove or similar if you prefer.
It has a rather unusual hand made oak king size bed. There is also two good quality fold away adult size camp beds stored under the main bed. The Round House is available to hire for £60.00 per night on standard rates and £40 per night on special winter rates.

Rose Hippy has been one of our latest projects. She is a beautiful old Royal Caravelle Touring caravan. In its day, it was known as the 'Rolls Royce' of touring caravans.
We purchased her from a company who sold Beatrix Potter merchandise and they had used it for an exhibition at the NEC. We have completely redesigned her to create a unique addition to our range of accommodation options.
Rose Hippy sleeps two people, with a similar double bed as you get in most touring caravans. Its slightly smaller the a standard double but perfectly fine for two adults and it can be converted into additional seating if required. The cooker, fridge and toilet have been removed to create more space and extra seating so guests would use the facilities on site. We are building a new covered cooking and seating area for the Vintage Vans to use so guests will be able to cook and eat under cover in relative comfort.
The Vans will all have electricity as they will be situated in the Hookup field but they will be set in their own grounds with fire pit, table and chairs etc.
Rose Hippy is nearly 50 years old so she has some signs of her age (Don't we all) so please bear that in mind, she is not brand spanking new and immaculate! She is however, gorgeous. full of unique detail and character. One of her special features is that almost the whole of one side has been converted into opening double doors so that on a nice day or a clear night you can open her up completely to the elements and enjoy the view to its full.
Rose Hippy and Forget-me-not are the only accommodation we have on site that are for adults only and where we don't allow pets. It's simply the nature of the Vans, their age and design that make them unsuitable for children and pets, it's not a general site policy as we are very family, kids and pet friendly.
Rose Hippy is available to hire at standard summer rates of £60 per night or Special winter rates at £40 per night.

Max and David did a wonderful job of building a wooden vintage caravan from scratch. They started with an old caravan chassis and basically designed and built everything from the ground up.
I am pleased to say that it has proven to be very popular with campers and we hope it will continue to be a lovely asset to our site for many years to come. It has a full king size bed raised off the floor with another double futon mattress underneath, ideal for kids or even another couple. It has a living flame gas fire to keep you warm and a three ring gas hob for cooking on. There is also a table and chairs, pots, pans etc. Bluebell is situated in its own private garden type area in a beautiful setting by the pond. Outside there is a seating area and fire pit and Its a wonderful spot for relaxing and watching the night skies. The price for Bluebell is £60.00 per night on standard summer rates and £40 per night on special winter rates.
